Black Rose

When concepting Kadin’s appearance, I pulled from Sean Connery with a tinge of Jet Black from the anime Cowboy Bebop, and added a lot of grit to showcase him as the elderly badass that he is! Likewise, Ardam’s look was greatly influenced by Death Note’s “L” – namely the lack of eyebrows, which keep Ardam’s facial expressions impassive and somewhat apathetic in nature.
