A Quiet Patch of Earth
I’m really happy with Aaron’s realization of the fishing village in this scene. From the script: “The village, a small and very rural Elementian town, is constructed somewhat similarly to the Mediran village from the beginning of Issue 1, but with a greater harmony with nature and more defenses against the cold. Many dwellings would be built into hills somewhat like hobbit-holes, with windows but no visible doors. If variety is needed, there could also be some ordinary-looking huts for the poorer (or weaker at magic) families. They should still look as natural as possible, though, as though they were persuaded to rise from the ground whole. Also try to minimize the use of flat surfaces and make things rounded whenever possible. Long story short, these are the sorts of simple houses Elementians prefer to build and live in.”
