Black Rose

During early development of Black Rose, we discussed the potential for “shape-shifting” magic. We decided that Ishtakarans shift not how they themselves appear, but instead shift what their victim thinks they are seeing via mental manipulation. You can see the effect in the first panel – a squad of Ishtakarans calmly strolling down an Athelican street!
